Terms of sale

1. What you are buying

OPUS CHESS sells digital books delivered as downloadable files. Nothing physical is shipped. You are buying a personal licence to read the work, not the copyright in it.

Each product page states the language of the edition you are buying. Where the interface language differs from the language of the book, that is disclosed on the product page before purchase.

2. Prices and currency

Prices are shown in the currency assigned to your location and include VAT or equivalent consumption tax where it applies. The price charged is the price displayed at the moment you confirm the order.

Prices are set per market and are not currency conversions of one another.

3. Order and delivery

The contract is formed when your payment is accepted. Delivery is immediate: a download link appears on screen and is sent to the email address you supply.

Download links remain valid so you can retrieve your files again on another device. If a link stops working, contact us and we will reissue it.

4. Payment

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your card details.

5. Right of withdrawal

As a consumer you have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days. For digital content this right lapses once download has begun with your express consent and acknowledgement.

We nevertheless offer a voluntary 14 day refund regardless of whether you have downloaded the files. See the refund policy.

6. Licence and permitted use

You may read the files on any device you own and keep personal backup copies. You may not resell, publish, share publicly, or distribute the files, or upload them to any file sharing or AI training service.

7. Availability and changes

We may add, revise, or withdraw titles. Anything you have already bought remains available to you. Where a title is revised, existing customers receive the revision at no cost.

8. Liability

The books are educational material. We make no guarantee of any particular competitive result, rating gain, or tournament outcome. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death, personal injury, or fraud.

9. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of {GOVERNING JURISDICTION}. Nothing here removes the protections of the mandatory consumer law of your country of residence.

For EU consumers, the European Commission provides an online dispute resolution platform.
